Who we are

BabelEar Pro is operated by KapTable AI Limited ("KapTable", "we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy applies to the BabelEar Pro mobile apps, website, backend services, and support channels.

What BabelEar Pro is

BabelEar Pro is the paid live speech translation app. It uses KapTable-managed account, purchase, and minute-balance systems so users can buy live translation minute packs without managing their own API key.

Information we collect

• Device identifierA random device identifier used to manage guest preview access before sign-in.
• Account sign-in dataApple or Google account identifiers and, if provided, email address or private relay email, used to create and maintain your Pro account on the relevant platform.
• Account linkage dataThe relationship between your device and your account so eligible minutes can be used across supported devices on the same platform.
• Purchase recordsStore transaction IDs, product IDs, purchase tokens, and verification records used to validate and grant purchased minutes.
• Usage ledger dataRemaining free preview time, purchased seconds or minutes, active session records, heartbeat checkpoints, and balance records needed to operate billing and protect minutes.
• Support communicationsInformation you choose to send when contacting us for help.

Information we do not intend to store

We do not intend to store your audio recordings or conversation transcripts on our own servers. We also do not use third-party advertising SDKs, mobile analytics SDKs, ad identifiers, contact lists, photos, precise location data, or health data.

Audio processing

When you use live translation, audio is sent for realtime processing so speech can be translated. BabelEar Pro is built to avoid retaining your audio or transcript data on KapTable's backend.

How we use information

• Operate translationMint realtime sessions, route live audio, return translated text, and end sessions.
• Authenticate accountsSupport Sign in with Apple on iOS and Sign in with Google where available on Android.
• Manage purchasesVerify App Store or Google Play purchases and grant minute packs correctly.
• Track balancesMeasure live session usage, reconcile heartbeat checkpoints, and keep remaining minutes accurate.
• Protect the serviceMaintain security, prevent abuse, investigate misuse, and comply with legal obligations.
• Provide supportRespond to questions, account requests, and purchase issues.

How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate BabelEar Pro, including Apple and Google for authentication and in-app purchases, realtime translation infrastructure providers, and cloud infrastructure providers that store account and usage records. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer.

Data retention

We keep account, linkage, purchase, and usage records for as long as your Pro account remains active or as needed to operate the service and comply with legal obligations. Guest-device usage records may remain associated with your device identifier until they are migrated to an account, reset, or otherwise removed through normal service operations.

Account deletion

You can delete your BabelEar Pro account from the Settings screen in the app, or request deletion by emailing admin@kaptable.ai from the email associated with your account. When you do, we aim to permanently remove your account profile, email, user ID, authentication tokens, linked-device associations, server account data, and account-backed usage or credit records from our systems, except records we must retain for legal, security, fraud-prevention, tax, accounting, or purchase-verification purposes.

Your choices

• Sign-inYou can choose whether to sign in with the account method supported by your platform.
• MicrophoneYou can control microphone permission in your device settings. Live translation requires microphone access.
• Stop using the appYou can stop using BabelEar Pro at any time.
• Delete accountYou can delete your account in-app if you want account-backed data removed.

Children's privacy

BabelEar Pro is not directed to children as a standalone data collection service. We do not knowingly sell or use personal information from children for advertising purposes.

International use

BabelEar Pro may be operated using service providers in more than one country. By using the service, you understand that information may be processed in jurisdictions other than your own, subject to applicable law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date on this page and, when appropriate, provide additional notice.
