Who we are

BabelEar is operated by KapTable AI Limited ("KapTable", "we", "us", or "our").

What BabelEar is

BabelEar is a Bring Your Own Key live speech translation app. You provide your own supported API key, choose a target language, and the app uses that key for realtime translation.

KapTable data posture

BabelEar does not use KapTable accounts, KapTable purchases, KapTable minute packs, or a KapTable usage ledger. KapTable does not charge for BabelEar usage and does not track your translation minutes.

BabelEar conversations are not stored or transmitted to KapTable servers. Translation usage is handled through the API key and provider account you bring to the app.

Information we do not collect

KapTable does not collect your API key, audio recordings, conversation transcripts, translation history, usage minutes, ad identifiers, contacts, photos, precise location data, or health data through BabelEar.

Audio processing

When you use live translation in BabelEar, audio is processed through the provider account connected to the API key you entered. KapTable does not receive or process that audio through its own backend.

Support communications

If you contact us for support, we will receive the information you choose to send us, such as your email address, message, screenshots, or diagnostic details you include. We use this information only to respond to your request and maintain the service.

Third-party providers

Your use of your own API key may be subject to the terms and privacy policy of the provider connected to that key. KapTable does not control those provider accounts or their handling of your data.

Your choices

• MicrophoneYou can control microphone permission in your device settings. Live translation requires microphone access.
• Stop using the appYou can stop using BabelEar at any time.

Children's privacy

BabelEar is not directed to children as a standalone data collection service. We do not knowingly sell or use personal information from children for advertising purposes.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date on this page and, when appropriate, provide additional notice.
