BabelEar Terms of Use

Agreement

By downloading, accessing, or using BabelEar, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

BabelEar is operated by KapTable AI Limited ("KapTable", "we", "us", or "our").

What BabelEar is

BabelEar is a Bring Your Own Key realtime speech translation app. It is intended to help with everyday live conversations, but AI translations can be incomplete, inaccurate, delayed, unexpected, or inappropriate.

BabelEar is not a substitute for professional translation, interpretation, medical, legal, financial, safety, emergency, or other professional advice.

API keys and provider accounts

BabelEar does not require a KapTable account. You are responsible for the API keys and provider accounts you use with BabelEar, including any provider billing, terms, usage limits, and data policies.

Do not enter an API key unless you have the right to use it.

Purchases and usage

BabelEar does not sell KapTable minute packs and does not charge for app usage. Your usage costs, if any, are handled through the API key and provider account you bring to BabelEar.

BabelEar does not meter usage through KapTable.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Unlawful useUse BabelEar for unlawful, fraudulent, harmful, or abusive purposes.
• Service interferenceAttempt to reverse engineer, interfere with, overload, or disrupt the app.
• Rights violationsUse BabelEar in a way that infringes another person's rights.
• Responsible useUse BabelEar thoughtfully. Do not eavesdrop, translate private conversations without appropriate consent, or use the app in a way that could put people at risk.
• High-risk relianceRely on AI translation outputs in safety-critical, emergency, legal, medical, or other high-stakes situations.

AI output disclaimer

BabelEar uses AI systems to generate translations. AI outputs can be incomplete, inaccurate, unexpected, or inappropriate. You use the app at your own discretion, and you should not rely on outputs as facts, guarantees, or professional interpretation.

Intellectual property

BabelEar, including branding, artwork, app design, audio presentation, website, and software, is owned by KapTable AI Limited or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not give you ownership of the service or its content.

Disclaimers

BabelEar is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the app will always be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, accurate, or available at any particular time.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, KapTable AI Limited and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of BabelEar.

Changes to BabelEar or these terms

We may modify BabelEar, suspend features, or update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we may provide notice in the app, on the website, or by updating the effective date above. Your continued use after the updated Terms take effect means you accept them.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), Dubai, United Arab Emirates, except where consumer law in your jurisdiction requires otherwise.
